About Shiloh

Welcome to my website, Praying Prophet!  I started this website because I have a passion for God and His people and I wanted a venue to reach out and share encouragement, advice and motivation.

I’ve been a follower of Christ for over twenty years and in that time, I have learned some awesome and deep things from my journey with God and I want to share those things to help other people.

There is nothing like being used by our Lord and Savior!

My Long Story Made Short

I graduated from college with a degree in elementary education and a minor in psychology and I started teaching three months later but I knew I wanted to go back to graduate school and get a degree in either psychology or counseling.  Four years later I did go back, got a master’s degree in counseling and got a job but I still wasn’t fulfilled.

Fast forward three years… I wasn’t happy; I had to have some minor surgery; And my mother was dying.  It was the perfect storm for what came next; I became addicted to the pain medicine I got after surgery and my life hit rock bottom.

Two years later I got arrested for making my own prescriptions to get pain medicine.  That night in a holding cell at the Greenville County Jail, I had a supernatural experience with God that changed my life.

That was all twenty years ago and I am now very fulfilled combining my love for Jesus Christ and my counseling gifts!

My Goal for Praying Prophet

My goal for my website is to reach out to so many more people and share the things of God.  I want to bring encouragement with all the things I’ve learned from the past twenty years and I would like to give others a chance to comment and share or ask for advice for problems they may be having.

If you do have anything you would like to share now or if you have any questions, please feel free to leave any comments you have at the bottom of this page.  Thank you!

Yours In Christ,

Shiloh Griffin, M.Ed.

    Hi Shiloh!

I really like your vision and I think your site will really help people. I’m bookmarking it after I leave this comment so I can stop back every now and then. I know substance abuse can happen to anyone, my little brother struggled with it after injuring his back and being put on pain killers too. He also found his salvation in God. I’m looking forward to reading more of your work.
