God cannot Lie

God cannot lie. It’s simply unquestionable. He cannot lie!

Now because of God’s very nature, He will not lie but what I’m saying is more than that; I’m saying, “God cannot lie.” He is literally incapable of lying even if He wanted to.

You see if God tried to lie, the thing He said would immediately become the truth. As He was speaking and the words were leaving His mouth, change would occur because God has creative power in His voice. If God decided to lie one day and said, “All the leaves in the world are neon pink,” then all of a sudden, every single leaf in this world would be neon pink. That’s the kind of creative power God’s voice has.

In the first chapter of Genesis verse 2, the Bible tells us that there was darkness. In Genesis 1:3, the Word says, “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” God said it and it was so!

It was on the first day that God created light. What’s really interesting about that is God created the sun, moon and stars on the fourth day. So when God said, “Let there be light,” that is literally what happened; light was just there not coming from anywhere in particular. Then on the fourth day, God took the light He had spoken into existence and made the sun, moon and stars. Do you see how awesome that is?

If we were going to create some new kind of beverage to drink, first we would make sure we had a container to put it in… not God! He’s so powerful that His words would contain whatever it is until He creates the thing to put it.

What a Mighty, Powerful God we have!

Wow this is powerful. This has just giving me more faith in my life that God is so powerful He can do anything for us.
That is why we are always told that we must believe in Him with everything and I have a scripture which I read weekly which say ” I can do all things through God who strengthens me”

Amen. Thank you, Shiloh, for writing this beautiful post. I am a firm believer in God’s existence. I truly believe that before He creates, He has to speak the words. Let there be light. So simple yet so powerful when you understand the essence of this.

People, read those old books because there is truth written. Ivan

That is a really powerful message! Thank you. I was recently reading Genesis the story of creation and I thought about the same thing, the light being there without the sun, moon and the stars. Question, if there was nothingness before God created heaven and earth, where was the devil banished to? God hadn’t made heaven and earth yet.

That’s a really good question. I’ve heard that some people believe that it happened between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. They say that we don’t really know the span of time between the first two verses. It’s an interesting theory. Thanks, Raquellek
